Keller Starts New Foundation in Restaurant Biz
|
Dustin Keller is extremely talented and extremely confident. By talented, we don't mean limited to football. And by confident, we mean for example that the Jets' third-year tight end has chosen to concentrate on a sector of the economy that's been known to gobble up profits and spit out investors.
Restaurants. Keller owns six.
quot;McAlister's Delis, quot; Keller said proudly of the franchis...

Carrier's Quite Familiar with Ryan Philosophy
|
Mark Carrier never had much intersection with the Jets during his distinguished 11-year playing career. But you could almost say it's in a grandfather clause somewhere that he would come to the Green amp; White for a spell.
Or more accurately, a father clause. As in Rex Ryan's dad, Buddy.
quot;Buddy had left the Bears after '85 and I didn't come in till '90,quot; Carrier, the Jets' new def...

|
A fire burns brightly inside James Ihedigbo.
It was kindled, perhaps, when his father, Apollos, started a community college in Nigeria, his parents' native country. It was roaring when James began his own foundation, Hope Africa.
Then came Haiti and the earthquake.
quot; When it first happened, I was one of those people who said, 'Damn, this is terrible that this has happened. What can you p...

You could call George Sabra a Super sculptor. For the second straight year, Sabra, the respected artist who's been creating environmentally inspired works for more than 20 years, has crafted six sculptures representing NFL teams. Three were on display at the Super Bowl venue in Tampa last year and three more were seen in Miami Beach last week.
quot;I am very inspired by the shape of the footb...
